Map

The Map is the navigation system displaying the crew’s current Location and different paths leading to other destinations with any Missions the player has picked up from the Outpost. It can be accessed through the overlay which appears on top of the screen when the player chooses to leave the Location near the docking area. Alternatively, the player may access the Map by using their sub’s Navigation Terminal/Status Monitor in the Command Room and choosing to undock the sub from the Outpost.

The Map is displayed on a grid, 2 squares high and 15 squares wide. Squares are greyed out until they are travelled to. The crew starts their journey on the left side of the Map and progressively ventures deeper into the heart of Europa to the right. The further they go, the deeper, and the harder levels will get.

The two main elements on the map are Locations (outposts or empty locations) and Connexions (dashes forming a path between two Locations). When travelling from one Location to another, the crew must make their way through a Level, steering the submarine from the entrance to the exit. Locations and connexions the crew has set foot in will be highlighted in green.

There are five Biomes, each having their own difficulty, resources, and depth: from left to right, the Cold Caverns, the Europan Ridge, the Aphotic Plateau, the Great Void, and the Hydrothermal Wastes.

Reputation

The Reputation (RP) system affects how Outposts and Factions relate to the crew. High RP can allow for discounts for supplies or unlock special Events and its outcomes, while low RP may turn Outposts hostile towards the players. RP has no influence over the price of Shipyard’s subs and hiring crewmates from Crew Management.

Each Outpost has a randomized initial RP, ranging from -10 RP to 10 RP, while all Factions have their unique fixed initial RP. There are many ways to boost or diminish the RP of each Outpost and Faction, as straightforward as completing assigned Missions or simply being violent towards the residents in the area and making the wrong decisions during some Outpost Events.

Items inside any Outpost containers are marked with a red hand symbol, indicating they’re the properties of the Outpost dwellers; therefore grabbing hold of them is considered theft, decreasing the Outpost’s RP by 1, unless the culprit manages to snatch the items outside people’s line of sight. As of v0.10.5.0, using the fire extinguisher of an Outpost is no longer considered theft when there’s a fire nearby.

An Outpost’s RP can reach the highest at 100, and the lowest at -100. However, at -81 RP and beyond, every single individual in the Outpost will become more than just verbally hostile. Those without a weapon will flee from the sight of the threat (the player), and those who are armed, mainly the security guards, will actively hunt down and attack every crew member until they either die or run back to the sub. Needless to say, this effectively prevents the crew from doing any sorts of business with the people of the Outpost.

Salvage Missions[]

Salvage Missions are relatively well-paid, tasking the player with finding and retrieving a specific item under the ocean, which is always marked on the Sonar. These Missions are only considered successful when the required item is inside the hull of the Submarine and the crew manages to reach a Location safely.

The player is required to retrieve one of the five Alien Artifacts: Faraday Alien Artifact, Nasonov Alien Artifact, Psychosis Alien Artifact, Sky Alien Artifact, and Thermal Alien Artifact from an alien ruin or cave system and bring it back or to the next destination.

This can notably cause hassle for players — both in the form of the Fractal Guardians that can occasionally be found guarding the ruins, and the dangerous Thermal and Sky Alien Artifacts themselves.

On top of that, the Artifact can uncommonly be a Moloch instead of an Artifact, which the player is then required to kill to get their reward. MAY NOT BE ACTIVE

In Campaign, this Mission can only be unlocked in Colony, Habitation Outpost, both of which are adjacent to Research Outpost, Natural Formation, or Breeding Grounds, and Research Outpost.

There are two variations of this Mission:

The required Artifact is located either on the surface layers or within the cracks of Europa’s icy crust.

The crew is tasked with locating the sunken Submarine and retrieving the captain’s Logbook. There may be more than a single Logbook inside the wreck, but the location of the correct Logbook containing the encrypted transmission will be marked on the Sonar screen. Bringing the wrong Logbook containing normal Messages doesn’t count towards the success of the Mission.

The crew will be required to enter and search the sunken Submarine for the Logbook, which will require a Diving Suit to prevent death from and a Crowbar or a Plasma Cutter to gain entry. The sunken Submarine will also contain other resources which can be salvaged and used by the crew. It is advised to bring a weapon when entering the sunken vessel as Husks and other Creatures can spawn.

However, on higher difficulty, it is more likely for the sunken Submarine to be infested by the Thalamus instead, an intelligent organism capable of exerting some degree of control over the systems of the submarine it’s inhabiting. The Leucocytes are a common presence in this scenario. Certain precautions must be taken when approaching this type of wreck.

In Campaign, this Mission can be unlocked in non-Mining Outpost types not adjacent to Breeding Grounds.

The crew may be sent to one of the five possible sunken Submarines: Berilia, Dugong, Hemulen, Kastrull, and an unnamed wreck.

Events

Outpost Events are random occurrences the crew may encounter in any Outposts. Upon entering an Outpost, there’s a chance that a randomized Event may occur in certain areas of the Outpost or after a certain period. Only 1 Event per Outpost is active at a time.

In Singleplayer, the player becomes immobilized when an Event is triggered and can move again after finishing the Event. But in Multiplayer, the player can still move around freely while an Event is active. Additionally, if a character triggers an Event but decides to ignore it via choosing the option to do so, a different character may still be able to trigger it. This is especially useful if the character doing a particular Event isn’t qualified enough to get the best result, but someone else in the crew is. However, this doesn’t apply to every Outpost Event.

The outcomes of these Events may affect a Location’s and Factions’ RP, reward the player with useful or exotic items, sometimes bring about more harm than good, all of which depend on the choices the player makes and many other factors.

GUI[]

Inventory

The inventory consists of 16 slots (medic’s uniforms have 3 extra slots). Six of those slots are for specific equipped Gear, as indicated by their icon; one slot each for an ID Card, Headset, , , and Toolbelt. The other ten slots can hold any items. 2 more slots, one for each hand, are shown to the left of the hotbar when holding items by hand. Items can be equipped by double-clicking them, clicking on the small bar above each item icon, or by using the appropriate hotkey. Characters can also carry items in their hands, and some items may not fit in the inventory slots due to their size; for example, storage containers, Fire Extinguishers or Coilgun Ammunition Boxes can only be carried by hand, Crates are carried with both hands, and the Diving Suit cannot be carried, only worn in the suit slot.

Store

In campaign mode, stores allow players to purchase or sell items, hire new crew members, improve the current submarine’s installations, or acquire new Submarines. Purchases are made using Marks, the local currency, that is rewarded to the player after successfully completing Missions.

Wiring Interface

In order for any of the submarine’s onboard electric instruments or devices to work correctly, they must be wired. To enter the wiring system, a screwdriver is required. Pressing E while in proximity and highlighting the desired installation will open up its connection panel. (That feature can be disabled in server configurations or inside the sub editor).

While the connection panel UI is open, one can remove wires by clicking and dragging it out of the plugin, which will disconnect the wire on that side. Unplugging one side of the wire will disable its functions as expected, and will leave a loose wire that will spark. To completely remove and recover the wire, one has to unplug it on both ends and drag it to one’s inventory or outside of the connection panel UI.

To connect a new wire, the player needs to have a screwdriver equipped in one hand, and a wire in the other. When these conditions are met, opening an installation’s connexion panel will display the new, loose wire at the bottom of the interface. Once again, connecting it to an unoccupied slot is done by drag-and dropping it. Once the first end is connected, the player can safely exit the first installation’s connexion panel and repeat the process on the second installation, using the same method. While walking towards the second installation, left-clicking anywhere on the wall will attach the wire to that specific location. In case of mistake, right-clicking then allows to cancel the last action. While this feature may appear purely cosmetic, it can also help visualizing and keeping track of elaborate wiring systems. To that same end, different wire colors may be used as well.

Каждому питомцу нужно есть, чтобы утолить голод, который увеличивается на 0,03% каждую секунду. При 30% голоде домашние животные становятся голодными, и над их головой появляется значок голода , уведомляющий команду о том, что питомца нужно кормить. Игрок может накормить их, бросив на пол подходящую еду, рядом с питомцем и он немедленно ее съест. Питомец перестает потреблять пищу, когда голод ниже 30%.

Для каждого питомца есть своя диета которая в разной степени утоляет их голод и дает им счастье. Для питомцев есть параметры утоления голода и счастья. Они у всех одинаковые, кроме Ктулху, аппетит у него чрезмерный:

  • Арахис: утоляет голод на 50% и увеличивает счастье на 5%.
  • Псилотоад: утоляет голод на 50% и увеличивает счастье на 5%.
  • Оранжевый мальчик: утоляет голод на 50% и увеличивает счастье на 5%
  • Ктулху: утоляет только 10% голода, но все же увеличивает 5% счастья.

NPCs

NPCs are the dwellers of an Outpost the player can interact with. There are 2 types of NPCs: Regular NPCs and Interactable NPCs.

Regular NPCs are just Outpost dwellers with no significant features.

Interactable NPCs such as Shop NPCs and Mission NPCs are the only people the player can interact with in an Outpost to access all kinds of services and obtain Missions. These NPCs have distinguished looks and can mostly be found hanging around their respective stations, although they don’t stay in one spot but tend to move around the Outpost instead like any other NPCs. Each of them has a unique directional marker showing their locations in an Outpost for easy navigation.

Acquire one unit of Velonaceps Calyx Eggs hidden behind a Loose Vent in a specific area depending on the Sub being used to proceed to the next objective.

Objective 2

All on this sub must partake of communion with the husk!

TO DO: ‎
Inject everyone with the Husk Eggs. One unit contains two doses regardless of Medical skill, enough for two crew members. The larger the crew, the more difficult this objective is, so if one unit isn’t enough, more Husk Eggs can be salvaged from killing Husks in ruins or wreckage during the trip. A risky way to infect everyone is to self inject one dose of the Eggs, then wait for the chitinous appendage stage. Using the appendage, attack everyone before succumbing to the infection without getting caught or killed. One bite is usually enough to infect them.

It isn’t necessary for everyone to be huskified (fully turn into a Husk). As long as all crew members have , either from injection or bitten by the infected, the task is then considered completed. Stealing or disposing of any Calyxanide or Broad-spectrum Antibiotics on the Sub is also recommended since they cure or prevent the Husk Infection.
