Вместо заключения

Фанаты серии столкнулись с небольшими проблемами в виде недоступности игры по сети. Если в Civilization 4 вполне успешно реализован мультиплеер, то для игры в новинку нужно установить на Civilization 5 моды по сети. Выбор хот-сита с модами из меню становился неактивным, что делало невозможным сетевую игру. Мод Custom Advanced Setup Screen успешно справился с этой проблемой.

Ряд адаптаций более мелкого масштаба вносит в игру некоторое разнообразие. Например, Strange and Historical Religions добавляет в игру такие религиозные воззрения, как Церковь Игры, орден Ситхов, вера в Императора из вселенной Warhammer 40 000, философские воззрения из Assassin’s Creed и братства НОД из Tiberian Sun и церковь Атеизма.

Улучшения, которые изменяют механику движений конкретных юнитов, не особо пользуются популярностью, но если таковые идут в наборе с другим, уже всё смотрится иначе. Примером является мод Ethnic Units, который обновляется весьма часто. Суть улучшения в том, что для каждой фракции добавляются уникальные юниты, упоминающиеся в истории. Такие боевые единицы стали чем-то вроде визитной карточки государств. Например, для Норвегии — викинги, для Америки — индейцы. В наличии также анимации действий для французской кавалерии и полинезийских меченосцев. А так как разработчики вдохновлялись вышеописанным RED WW II Edition, то, скорей всего, в релизе присутствуют и юниты для России и Германии времён Второй мировой войны.

Улучшений, подобных всему вышеописанному, великое множество. Каждый игрок волен подбирать таковые по своему вкусу, чтобы сделать игру более востребованной (в собственных глазах) и привлекательной.

Фанатам Tomb Raider будет интересно увидеть уникального персонажа в виде Лары Крофт, а любители Dragon Age: Inquisition наверняка с удовольствием установят модификацию, вводящую в игру воинственных кунари, мудрых эльфов и устрашающие легионы проклятых.

В таком моде могут присутствовать и уникальные юниты в виде Кассандры Пендагаст, советниками, скорей всего, будут выбраны Жозефина и Лелиана, а возможно, и предусмотрена компания за Корифея с целью всеобщего порабощения. Всему своё время, как говорится.

If you want a change in the way of how you are playing the game, this is a great mod for that. This pack changes the way some things look like: buildings, units, and civilizations. Furthermore, it adds new nations to play with and new wonders, not to forget that now the world conference is called the Elder Council and if you are the first to found it you can become the Emperor of Tamriel, which is AWESOME!

So if you want to play a different scenario with your friends, I recommend playing this mod.

This mod is great if you want to mess around and create an overpowered nation whose capital is surrounded by high mountains that cannot be reached and have an army of tanks and robots…..FROM THE START OF THE GAME!!!

    Ingame Editor is a great opportunity for testing things and trying out new stuff as it can allow you greater flexibility and accessibility than the normal game would, so if you would like to test something or just mess around, this mod is for YOU.

Установка данного мода серьезно меняет соотношение размеров между солдатами и боевыми машинами. Это конечно не ключевое изменение, но все же добавляет некое разнообразие в игровой процесс. Мод также добавляет новые модели юнитов и их создание, для того чтобы отразить изменения в масштабе.

R.E.D. Xtreme

Хотите ещё более реальное соотношение размеров: установите его поверх R.E.D. Modpack. Этот мод увеличивает количество юнитов в каждом подразделении. Для правильного отображения юнитов обязательно устанавливайте Xtreme только после того, как установили Modpack.

Ethnic Units

Данный мод, вдохновленный визуальным обновлением RED Modpack, добавляет новый уровень разнообразия огромного количества юнитов в Civilization V. Два года с момента первого релиза, а этот мод по-прежнему обновляется. В последней июньской версии добавлены новые анимации для полинезийских мечников и французской кавалерии.

9.Trading Posts Grow into Towns

This mod adds economic variability. With this mod enabled, Trading Posts come in 4 varieties: Trading Post gives you 1gold, Hamlets give you  2 gold, Villages gives you 3 gold at cost of 1 yield, and Towns gives you 4 gold but at cost of 2 yields. Only the first can be built; starting now with Trapping instead of Guilds, and each version will grow over an increasing number of turns into the bigger version. While Trading Posts can be built anywhere, including Snow, and all Trading Posts will eventually grow into Hamlets; Villages and Towns require tiles with at least 1 and 2 yields respectively, and that is because once a Hamlet becomes a Village, the tile will gain 1 gold, and lose 1 production or 1food depending on the tile type. Overall, it is a great new little mod that gives you more opportunities economically.

Caveman2Cosmos

Следующий масштабный мод в нашей подборке – Caveman2Cosmos, где более ста мододелов объединили усилия, чтобы создать огромный по количеству нового контента проект. Вам определенно стоит взглянуть на то, что у них получилось.

Само название мода (которое можно перевести как «от пещерного человека к космосу») отражает в себе его объём: здесь затронуты все эпохи, от доисторических времен, где человек впервые добывает огонь, до галактической эры, где с Земли в космос летят первые ракеты. Контента просто море, от новых юнитов до древ развития и даже ландшафта. Можно сказать, обязательно к ознакомлению.

Здания и чудеса света

Разработчики подошли к данному релизу со всей серьёзностью, чтобы максимально улучшить Civilization 5. Моды редко такое затрагивают, но данный является исключением. Возможны постройки следующих Чудес Света:

• Железный Трон — добавляет золото и единицы очков культуры, а также способствует началу Золотого Века.
• Храм Красного Бога — увеличение религиозного влияния на жизнь государства, рост производства при строительстве военных юнитов.
• Длинный Мост — клетки с водоёмами способствуют приросту золота, а количество «молоточков» увеличивается.
• Морской Трон — увеличение культуры, клетки с рыбами, крабами и китами приносят дополнительно «молотки».

Winter is Coming Mod

Глобальный мод, который вводит в игру целых двенадцать фракций, для каждой из которых предусмотрен собственный лидер:

• у Штормовых земель – Ренли Баратеон;
• любителям Одичалых придётся по вкусу Манс Налетчик;
• сторону под названием The Vale возглавит Петир Бейлиш;
• Западные Земли – Тайвин Ланнистер;
• Коронные Земли – Станнис Баратеон;
• Дорн – Доран Мартелл;
• а вот Речные Земли – Эдмар Талли;
• владыкой Севера числится Робб Старк;
• Дом Таргариенов — разумеется, Дайнерис;
• кочевников Дотракийцев ведёт сам Кхал Дрого;
• Железными Островами правит Бейлон Грейджой;
• The Reach – Мейс Тирелл.

Каждая сторона имеет уникальных юнитов, предусмотренных самой сагой: у Дейнерис — драконы, Петир Бейлиш — горные рыцари.

Причём юниты также подвержены апгрейду. И драконы в игре представлены именно таковыми, а не графической адаптацией какой-либо боевой машины.

Все фракции начинают игру с наличия определённого количества городов с одним жителем. То есть, развивать их придётся полностью с нуля. Где-то есть доступ к пище, какой-то город более обеспечен в плане наличия «молоточков», то есть строительство будет идти быстрее. Некоторые города расположены ближе к морю — у всех пути развития абсолютно разные.

Набор юнитов тоже примитивен вначале, что весьма характерно для Sid Meiers Civilization 5. Моды этот момент не портят, хотя у Дейнерис Таргариен имеются маленькие дракончики, которым ещё предстоит вырасти. Видимо, не смог создатель модификации обойти стороной столь привлекательную блондинку.

Пройдя около 200 ходов, можно получить уже довольно-таки развитые города, соединенные между собой системой дорог. И вот тогда уже разжигаются первые костры междоусобных войн, которые разгораются до пожаров. Причём конфликты носят завоевательный характер, а не колонизаторский.

The mod Civilization Nights is a total overhaul of the base game that changes the way you play the game and adds a TON of new stuff.

As for the title of the mod is inspired by the difference from the main game, as a total overhaul the mod changes the way the happiness system works. The citizens now generate happiness BUT the military now will give you a bit of trouble because they are the ones giving you happiness along with the cities. This is a great improvement from the main game because it gives you things to think about the military improvements you need to do to keep your armies small but efficient or expand as much as you can before your armies become too unhappy. Along with this new happiness system, the mod adds a lot of new buildings, a new way to deal with the barbarians, adds a bunch of new technologies, and more.

So if you are up for a new way to play the game, to change your playstyle, and explore new possibilities, this is the mod for you.

If you and your friends don’t like the maps from vanilla, well you are in luck thanks to the Play the World Extended mod. Moreover, it adds new nations and a ton of new wonders around the map which are put manually for a better and realistic view of the map, not to forget the new variety of scenarios and gameplay options this map adds making a multiplayer session more interesting and fun.

CIV Gold!

CIV Gold! – один из самых масштабных модов на Civ 4, предлагающий огромное количество контента, которого вам определенно хватит надолго. В последней версии мода — CIV Gold 5.1 — насчитывается 120 новых цивилизаций и 58 новых лидеров. По сути, авторы собрали несколько самых популярных модов на цивилизации, доработав их по мере необходимости, чтобы всё новое хорошо сочеталось между собой.

Realism: Invictus

Мод Realism: Invictus точно придётся по вкусу ценителям исторической достоверности. В этом проекте сообщество мододелов объединило несколько модов, попытавшись сделать Civ 4 как можно реалистичнее.

Мод вносит в игру множество изменений, касающихся зданий, юнитов и многого другого, всё с целью добавить логичности и реализма происходящему. Из нового контента вас ждёт более 140 новых технологий для разных эпох, 160 новых лидеров и аж 3000 новых юнитов, причём разработчики не забыли уделить время изучению деталей и тестированию баланса. Это очень объемный мод, так что если вы решите его попробовать, то найдёте себе занятие на долгие недели.

Об игре

Проект является ярким представителем пошаговых стратегий, где игроку предстоит управлять целым государством, выстраивая его историю от каменного века до наших дней и эпохи освоения космоса. У каждой страны свой лидер, который проведёт её от колыбели до самого конца.

Наиболее привлекательные модификации игры способны как повлиять на изменения мелких анимаций и корректировку искусственного интеллекта в игре, так и полностью переделать игровую среду (начиная от ландшафта, заканчивая сюжетом) под The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim или популярный сериал «Игра Престолов». Причём моды для Civilization 5: Brave New World подходят и для дополнения Gods and Kings.

RED WW II Edition

Глобальная сюжетно-графическая модификация Sid Meier’s Civilization 5. Моды подобного характера «переделывают» графику, сюжет и добавляют новых юнитов.

В данном случае более тщательно проработан временной отрезок, на который пришлась Вторая мировая война. Техника ключевых участников конфликта пополнилась рядами новых юнитов. У СССР появились «тридцатьчетвёрки», КВ-шки и не только. Германия, разумеется, оснащена «панцерами», а если постараться, то можно будет получить и «тигров». Британия имеет в наличии танки «валентайн» и «матильда». Изменения коснулись также флота, авиации и пехоты.

Присутствуют два сценария:

• «Сталинград». Из названия понятно, о каких событиях речь. Выполнение ограничено 40 ходами. Стороны: Германия и Советский Союз.
• «Европа 1939 – 1945». Более глобальный сценарий, в котором задействованы такие страны, как Греция, Германия, Англия, Франция, Италия и СССР.

В целом довольно неплохой мод для любителей истории.

An interesting feature that this mod has is the possibility to see the global relationships, this allows you to make more calculated tactics and decisions now that you know who likes who and who hates who. Furthermore, this mod adds the possibility to see trades around the world and discussions which for me it’s pretty awesome.

    So if you are a guy who likes to play very calculated and make decisions based on global relationships and discussions, this mod is for YOU!

Thanks to the scripts that are implemented into the map, the world can be formed and generated in special ways giving you a brand new and entertaining map every time. Moreover, it generates climate based on a simplified model of geostrophic and monsoon wind patterns. Rivers are generated along accurate drainage paths governed by the elevation map used to create the landforms. Overall, it a great mod for playing the game in a constant new different scenario.

Emigration is a new immersive mod that brings the problem of emigration front row. Furthermore, a new system of happiness system where you need to keep your citizens happy for good outcomes.

    It also adds a new resource called prosperity, you can make prosperity by keeping your citizens happy. Citizens may also move to more prosperous cities around you, so keep that in mind.

    This mod adds a new welcoming challenge to the game but also introduces a new way to play with it and take advantage of it. Overall, it is a cool mod to enhance your Civ 5 experience.

Earth 2010

Ещё один мод с интересной задумкой в нашей подборке – Earth 2010. Этакий симулятор новейшей истории, действие в котором разворачивается в нашем с вами современном мире, если не считать 11 лет разницы. Впрочем, моду можно простить это расхождение уже хотя бы за то, что он даёт возможность играть в Civ 4 за реальные страны, с современными технологиями и ныне живущими мировыми лидерами. В моде есть все страны Большой Двадцатки, а всего игровых фракций 35.

Ах да, ядерные арсеналы здесь тоже присутствуют. Если ядерная война не входит в ваши планы, будьте осторожнее, решая вопросы дипломатических отношений.

InfoAddict is a great addon for the previously spoken mod (Enhance UI interface). InfoAddict allows you to see what the other players have or are interested in. Furthermore, you gain the ability to see the number of troops, their luxurious resources, and much much more. It is a great mod for players who want to keep track and plan a tactical attack on others.

    Probably one of the silliest mods out there, Strange Religions allows you to join a selection of cults that have different stories. The mod includes religions like Satanism, Cthulhu Cult, Scientology, Assassin’s Creed, all of them differ from one another and you can even create funny stories based around them.

    So if you want just to add a bit of fun around your game and create strange and interesting stories around religion, this mod is for you!

5.Real Natural Disasters

    Real Natural Disasters bring a new way to view and interact with the world. This mod is a throwback to the Civilization 4 event mechanic where natural disasters could develop in the world, for example, you could have a beautiful year in the game, and then BOOM!! An earthquake just destroyed your city or damaged your units. Some people might disagree with the fun aspect of this mod saying this mod has more downs than ups and some people might find this mod immersive, bringing in the world new and fresh experiences.

    Real Natural Disasters is a fun experience if you want to have a little more uncontrollable experience of the game, making you feel like you really need to be careful with the things you do around the world, but some things can’t be avoided….like a meteorite. So if you want the game to be more immersive and realistic, this mod is for YOU!

Цель мода – сделать искусственный интеллект «умнее, но не сложнее». Так же он является основой для таких модификаций как Communitas Enhanced Gameplay. Для удобства я запускал их в паре. Наверное самое полезное и заметное изменение Al and Tools – это новый метод исследования дерева технологий. Как только установите мод, сразу начнут появляться подсказки, давая вам возможность моментально обобщить большие потоки информации, и сэкономить время для успешного и более быстрого развития.

Really Advanced Setup

Для строителей, которым важна каждая мельчайшая деталь. Really Advanced Setup – включает в себя стандартный набор опций для запуска новой игры, плюс новый инструменты для более скурпулезной настройки игрового процесса. Включает в себя возню с начальными юнитами и золотыми бонусами, а также особенности местности, которые позволят вам контролировать, на какой территории ваш поселенец будет развиваться.

PerfectWorld3

Мод вносит дополнительную карту в меню настройки режима (setup menu), которая имеет более натуралистический вид, так же поменялось расположение рек и скалистых гор. Хотя он был загружен на Steam Workshop третьей стороной, а не его оригинальным создателем, мод функционирует отлично, и дает вам уникальное визуальное обновление географии в Civilization V.

City Limits

Данный мод помогает отслеживать такие вещи, как военная сила, культурное развитие и международные отношения в удобном и информативном виде.

«Песнь Льда и Пламени»

Мало какой игровой проект может похвастаться выходом такого улучшения, но не Sid Meier’s Civilization 5. Моды по культовым франшизам стали чем-то вроде правил хорошего тона для любого модмейкера, ведь это привлекает больше внимания и способствует росту количества скачиваний.

Далеко не один мод вносит в игру улучшения по мотивам нашумевшей франшизы. Для всех из них требуется наличие аддонов Civilization 5: Gods and Kings и Civilization 5: Brave New… Моды, первые приходящие на ум, это Winter is Coming и A Mod of Ice and Fire.

Если второй является не особо тщательно проработанным вариантом адаптации «Игры Престолов» под реалии игры, то первый сделан на совесть.

Global warming in the game can make a big impact on how you will be able to play the game. Events like: ice melting, land titles may lose resources and dry up, or worst case scenario hurricanes or flooding.

    This mod adds a new way to play the game, you will need to measure your actions and be active in saving the planet before it is too late, even if you are the strongest in the world, you can’t beat something that is unbeatable like mother nature.
