Next, in the Details section are more Optifine settings. Here is what to look out for.
Clouds
While you can bring 2D or 3D clouds into the game here by choosing Fast or Fancy, we recommend turning them off so your PC can run them better.
Trees
There are three settings for trees. We like the in-between balancing of Smart, but if you want a better framerate, select Fast.
Translucent Blocks
This decides how well blocks can be showed translucently. Blocks will look better with Fancy on, or for a better framerate, use Fast.
Vignette
Vignette darkens the corners of your screen, giving you vision that is closer to looking out of your eyeballs. We recommend putting this setting on Fast.
Entity Distance
This setting decides how far away a mob has to be from you before it renders into view. The lower you set this, the closer you need to be to see them. We recommend keeping this around 100%.
Rain & Snow
This option decides whether you will have precipitation in your world. If you are tired of rain and snow falling in your world, you can set it off. Otherwise, Fast will be the standard experience, and Fancy will make it more dense.
Show Capes
This will decide if capes will be visible on any skins that are applicable. If you turn it off, you will see a slight performance increase during moments where a cape would be on screen, so this is rather optional.
Swamp Colors
This option will decide if the game will output swamps at distinctive colors than the other biomes in the game. If you turn it off, the usual swamp textures will look like other biomes and give a slight performance boost.
Alternate Blocks
Alternate Blocks will change the texture on Blocks if you have them set that way. To keep your game running as smooth as possible, turn this off.
Biome Blend
Biome Blend decides how much the game will render multiple biome elements together. If you have a better running PC, you can turn this up, but for perforce reasons, we recommend keeping this off or at low as possible.

Optifine HD создан в первую очередь для оптимизации minecraft, мод убирает задержки, лаги и повышает общую стабильность, там самым повышает комфорт игры. После установки Модификации вам станет доступно расширенное меню настроек, где вы сможете настроить графику под ваш компьютер. Возможности мода не ограничиваются только оптимизацией, а еще мод улучшает визуальную составляющую игры, добавляет поддержку текстур высокого разрешения (HD текстуры) и HD шрифтов, случайных текстур мобов, анимации и многое другое. Это хорошая альтернатива программе MCPatcher HD. Мод Оптифайн один из основных модификаций которые рекомендуют устанавливать сразу перед началом игры или выходе новой версии.
После покупки игры компанией Microsoft и новой политикой использования кода игры, во избежание претензий, разработчик OptiFine удалил все старые версии модификации и переписал ее с нуля для актуальных версий игры. Поэтому, если у вас старая версия майнкрафт, то для нее будет проблематично найти данный мод. Но на нашем сайте собраны все ранее выпущенные версии начиная с майнкрафт 1.5.2, вышедшего много лет назад и до сих пор пользующегося некоторой популярностью.

Делаем модели для Minecraft Optifine!
Модели тоже можно открыть блокнотом и там снова будет JSON код. Но руками это писать — дикое извращение. На помощь нам приходит достаточно удобное решение в виде Blockbench. Я его уже когда-то использовал для гайда по созданию нового моба на Forge.
Запускаем редактор и видим такое окошко:
Выбор очевиден — OptiFine
Получаем пустой проект. Предлагаю изменить курочку, поэтому используем chicken в имени модели:

И теперь можно начинать творить . Хотя, куда проще было бы редактировать существующие, чем делать с нуля, да? Для этого существует очень неплохой плагин CEM Template Loader.
И выбираем курицу запустив плагин из вкладки Filter:
В открывшемся окошке и выбираем курицу

Окей, ноги странные, но это потому, что модель пока без текстуры. Добавляем текстуру (временно):
Ну всё, можно творить!
Но есть весомое НО. У моделей для optifine есть свои требования для имён частей тела. Курице нужны такие части: # chicken head, body, right_leg, left_leg, right_wing, left_wing, bill, chin. У нас всё совпало, это хорошо.
Соблюдать имена обязательно для правильной работы модели. И для адекватной анимации.
How to Download Optifine?

But after all, How to install Optifine?
How to install Optifine is a piece of cake; follow these steps:
- Go to the Java download page. After downloading, install it. Confirming the browser that there are no problems with this file.
- It is necessary to update your Minecraft so that the version you want to install the Optifine before installing it.
- Go to the Optifine download page https://optifine.net/downloads. So, you must locate the most recent version of the Optifine to download. This version must match your Minecraft. After viewing it, the next step is to download by ignoring high-risk messaging ads.
- After installing Java; You can proceed with the installation of the Optifine. Click the JAR file that you downloaded (Optifine installer), click “OK,” and the installation will be performed automatically in Minecraft without the need for configuration.
- Next, you will access the game through the profile created by Optifine, a tab located at the bottom of the screen linked to the installation, and select the Play button.
You will immediately see an alert message that you can ignore because it is not a file that implies any damage.
You can enjoy all the advantages of installing Optifine in Minecraft, including installing different Shaderspack and textures that will optimize the game and, therefore, its performance.

How to use Optifine?

Performance
As you would expect, the Performance section in Optifine is rather important to how well your PC runs this version of Minecraft. Most of these options you will need to experiment with to see if your PC can run them properly.
Smooth FPS
