Weight mapping[]

Sometimes character have additional equipment as separate models. After importing you will notice, that those models are not attached to the main model skeleton. To fix that, the objects will have to be parented to skeleton and weight mapped so they can follow certain bones the same way as parts of the main character model.

In this part of the article creeper will be replaced with Piglin holding the golden sword.

Before getting to weight mapping you have to get and import two models:

  • Whole piglin directory located in
  • Sword model located in

Position the sword model to the piglin’s right arm and attach the textures the same way as it was described in . Do not scale the models down or apply animation at this moment, it will be done after weight mapping.

The objects after these actions should look like this:

References[]

  1. the Baby Chicken, Parrot, and Arctic Fox while they need to get the Season Pass in order to get the Baby Goat and the Baby Ghast. The Parrot can also be obtained by getting only Jungle Awakens, the Arctic fox can be obtained by getting only Creeping Winter, the Baby Goat can be obtained by getting only Howling Peaks and the Baby Ghast can only be obtained by getting Flames of the Nether. The Baby Pig is given out as a reward for 10 million dungeons players on February 24 as part of the new update, making it the only free obtainable pet.
  2. The heart of ender stays in place and move its tentacles. This can be seen only if the hero is invisible when the Arch-Illager transforms, but if the hero becomes invincible after, the Heart of Ender cycles through its attack pattern once then return to idling.
  3. For example, Fire Trail, Poison Cloud.
  4. For example, Axe held by Vindicator is a render. The ladle used by the Vindicator Chef is the skin of the Axe instead of unique item. It looks like an item but does not cause any additional damage.
  5. However, heroes have a draw bow animation.

Appearance[]

The Redstone Mines is a large mine fixed with a cave atop a mountain, where Redstone can be seen jutting out of the walls and floor as crystals and a material the Illagers are harvesting for their war machine’s construction. It is described as a claustrophobic and large network of tunnels and cartways, which explains the large amount of rails and Minecarts running and laid about. Large quantities of redstone are also seen throughout the mine, getting lifted via pulleys. Within the mine is where Illagers harvest Redstone and control Villagers to do their work as well. The exit of the mine is a lift that leads to the cold snowy peaks outside.

Overview[]

Locations can be travelled to from the map once players have reached or returned to the Camp. They do not appear on the map until they are unlocked. Due to the nature of how the missions are unlocked, it is entirely possible to skip missions to complete the main story. There are a maximum of 45 (not including Camp or Squid Coast) playable locations at any given time if all Secret Missions and Daily Trials are unlocked and all DLCs purchased. Each location contains over 500 mobs (except for Squid Coast, which has less than 100 mobs)

There are three main things that can be found in a location:Consumables, Emeralds, and equipment such as Armor, Artifacts, and Weapons.

Trivia[]

  • This DLC was accidentally released early on June 30 for players on Xbox One and Windows 10 through the Microsoft Store.
  • The locations within Jungle Awakens contain no illagers. Other locations without illagers include ??? and those within the Flames of the Nether DLC.
  • This is the only DLC that doesn’t have a Minecraft Dungeons Diaries episode on it. This is most likely because it was released not long after dungeons released, meaning that they didn’t have time to make one for it.
  • It was originally believed that the shard of the orb of dominance created the leapleaf and the whisperer. It was found out after rereading the original “Jungle DLC Out Today Page,” that the shard corrupted the two inhabitants rather than creating them.

Enchantments[]

Barrier

Main article: MCD:Barrier

Barrier is an unused enchantment that was planned for the Jungle Awakens DLC, but was later added in the Echoing Void DLC as a built in enchantment for the Sturdy shulker armour.

Bow’s Boon

Main article: MCD:Bow’s Boon

Bow’s Boon is an unused enchantment in Minecraft Dungeons meant to be for ranged weapons. Any ranged weapon enchanted with Bow’s Boon grants the player and their allies a damage boost for every arrow that passes through them, due to it being unused, the tiers are unknown.

Knockback

Main article: MCD:Knockback

Knockback is an enchantment that would behave like regular knockback would. Every once in a while, enemies get knocked back after a melee attack. It was one of the rarest enchantments in the game before it became unobtainable.

Appearance[]

The Island where Hidden Depths takes place

The Hidden Depths take place underwater, around a small group of islands. Underneath the largest island is a ridge filled with a coral reefs and a shipwreck, on the west and deeper below is an ocean monument that harbors an ancient guardian, and on the east is an underwater volcano surrounded by lava, glowing lanterns, and a large fossil. The missions in the Hidden Depths are huge when compared to other missions, with about fifteen secrets in the Coral Rise alone. There is a cutscene in the abyssal monument in which the ancient guardian breaks through its own lair, and starts the boss fight. It is one of the only boss fights with a cutscene, apart from the Vengeful Heart of Ender, however this cutscene is not a separate movie (like this two), rather than is directly within the mission.

Arcade Exclusive[]

Ender Armor

Main article: MCD:Ender Armor

The Ender Armor, also known as Curious Armor, is an unused unique variant of the Guard’s Armor that had the unique ability to have a 5% chance to teleport players when they took damage. It is unknown whether the teleportation ability is what made it unused, but the teleport function cannot be obtained even if the player manages to get curious armor using hacks. This armor, referred to as Ender Armor, set can be obtained through a card in Minecraft Dungeons Arcade however.

Mage

Main article: MCD:Mage

The Mage is an unimplemented spellcaster illager that was planned for Minecraft Dungeons, but it was scrapped. It has been in the files since the game’s release (1.1.1.0), but was removed for no apparent reason in the 1.2.0.0 patch. This mob appears in Minecraft Dungeons Arcade however.

Obsidian Monstrosity

Main article: MCD:Obsidian Monstrosity

The Obsidian Monstrosity is an unimplemented boss mob that has a statue found in the Obsidian Pinnacle. It is an obsidian variant of the redstone monstrosity. It can be found under construction in one of the variants of the part of the level that generates the second main redstone golem fight. The Obsidian Monstrosity is its name in the game files, as it is not referenced in the base game. In Minecraft Dungeons Arcade however, it is now a living entity and an exclusive boss there.
